Koulourakia Biscuits
Koulourakia Biscuits

Mum normally made koulourakia biscuits for Easter but there were never enough to go around,
so now we make them every week. I bet you will too once you taste them.

Ingredients
1 cup corn oil
1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
1 tblspn mahleb
1 smll pkt vanilla essence
1 cup sugar
1 tblspn grated orange rind
Self raising flour

Method

1. Using a blender, mix all ingredients together except the flour for approximately 5 min.
2. Add flour gradually until mix becomes soft and non sticky.
3. Remove dough from mixing bowl and cut up into small gulf size pieces
4. With the palm of your hands, roll dough into a long thin sausage shape pieces.
5. Twist and twirl dough making all sorts of shapes that you like.
6. Place in a greased baking tray and bake in a preheated oven for 15min at 18 degrees.
