Enviro Soldiers

Hey kids
My name is Orianthi Organic and I’m going tell you all about growing organically and eating organic food with heaps of great tips too.
In today’s world with so much fast food and chemicals being used, it’s heartbreaking to know that we eat this stuff, so it’s about time we start learning more about growing organic and eating organically.
Who knows what organic really is?
It’s about growing food in your own garden without using chemicals like insecticides or fungicides on our plants.
Organic is what I’m here to teach you about, how to make your own natural products to protect your plants, and you can share these great tips and ideas with your family and friends too.

1. Every plant needs to eat just like us kids do, so don’t feed your plants chemical fertilizers, use organic manures like chicken, cow or sheep or even compost to feed them.

2. Use a little on each plant if your garden is already planted, but if you haven’t planted yet, then get mum and dad to help you spread a bag full and dig it in to the soil before you plant.
3. If your apples have holes from grubs that have been eating them, don’t worry, just ask mum or dad to cut that part of the apple out and throw it into the compost bin.

Growing fruit and vegetables in your own garden is the best way to stay healthy and away from bad chemicals

Worms make the best compost in the world and plants love it too
Now days more and more shops around Australia are selling organic food, so tell mum and dad to start buying more organic produce
You can control insect and grubs by making your own organic sprays by mixing 1 cup vegetable oil, 1 litre of water, and 1 tablespoon of natural soap together and spraying it on the plants.
Write to me and share your great Organic tips and ideas so everyone else can learn about organic growing too!
