Fruit Power Freeda
Hi everyone,

I’m Fruit Power Freeder and I’m going to teach you everything about growing fruit and how to make a beautiful and colourful garden.

I’m going to tell you what fruit are in season, how to grow them and how to look after them so you can enjoy beautiful flavours every season of the year.

Fruit are important to grow not only because we love to look at them and that they taste beautiful, they are very important for nature too. There are many animals in this world that need fruit to survive, the monkeys, elephants and birds love to eat the fruit just like us humans do too.

Fruit are very important to the world so next time you plant your garden, make sure you plant some fruit trees to enjoy some fresh flavours because there is nothing better than eating fresh fruit straight off your very on tree.

Freeda's Tips

1. When picking fruit from the garden, always pick them early in the morning, that way they are still fresh and moist and the hot sun hasn’t dried them out too much.

2. Prune your fruit trees back after you have picked the fruit, this will help the plant to prepare itself for the following growing season.

3. Plant lots of different plant varieties in the garden so that you have fruit growing in every season and not just spring or summer.

Did you know

Most trees produces a fruit, some big beautiful and some are so small that you can’t even see them.

Fruit are the way plants make seeds for new baby plants to grow.

Before every fruit or vegetable there is a flower produced on the plant and then the fruit grows from it.

There are fruit that grow in tropical climates like bananas and there are fruit that grow in cooler climates like citrus.

Write to me and share your great Fruit growing tips and ideas so everyone else can learn about growing Fruit too!
